Diving in medas Island in Spain

The Medes Islands (Illes Medes in Catalan) is a group of small islands located off the coast of the Costa Brava region in northeastern Spain, near the town of L'Estartit. The islands are a popular destination for diving enthusiasts due to their unique marine ecosystem and protected status as a nature reserve.

The waters around the Medes Islands are known for their clear visibility, rich biodiversity, and varied underwater topography, which includes steep walls, caves, and rock formations. There are many diving centers and schools in L’Estartit that offer guided dives to different dive sites around the islands, including the Cueva del Delfín (Dolphin Cave).

The Cueva del Delfín is a popular dive site on the Medes Islands that features a large cavern with several entrances and exits, as well as a resident school of barracuda and other fish species. Divers with appropriate training and experience can explore the cavern and its surroundings, but it is recommended to do so with a professional guide.

As with all diving activities, it is important to ensure that you have the appropriate certifications, equipment, and training before attempting a dive. Always follow the guidelines and recommendations of your diving instructor or guide, and respect the natural environment and wildlife around you.
